Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and result‑driven Data Warehouse Lead to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise‑scale data warehouse and lakehouse solutions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data engineering professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, advanced T‑SQL, and modern data architectures, combined with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

This role is suited for someone who thrives in complex data environments, leads high‑performing engineering teams, and is passionate about delivering scalable, secure, and high‑quality analytics platforms.

What You'll Do

Lead Modern Data Warehouse & Lakehouse Architecture

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑scale data warehouse and lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure cloud services.
  • Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to enable reliable, governed, and scalable analytics.
  • Drive best practices for data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and orchestration across platforms.

Build & Optimize Data Pipelines

  • Lead the development of robust ETL / ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Implement ingestion frameworks for structured and semi‑structured data from multiple source systems.
  • Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and developers, ensuring high delivery standards and technical excellence.
  • Work closely with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Design and optimize data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modeling) for analytics and reporting.
  • Establish data standards, architecture guidelines, and engineering best practices.
  • Oversee data governance, data quality, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Conduct code reviews, technical mentoring, and architectural design reviews.
  • Ensure seamless integration of the data warehouse with BI tools such as Power BI.

What You'll Bring

  • Implement lakehouse or modern data warehouse architectures using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Integrate data warehouse with BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Automate data pipelines and orchestration processes.
  • Data Engineering/Data Analytics using Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Hands on Experience into Data Migration using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse
  • Implementation of Medallion Architecture Design & Implementations
  • Advanced T-SQL expertise
  • Data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modeling)
  • ETL / ELT pipeline design
  • Data warehouse performance tuning
  • Data integration and transformation
  • Experience with Power BI or other BI tools (preferred)

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering / data warehousing within enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise data warehouse architectures.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse / Warehouse) is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced expertise in T‑SQL, including performance tuning, query optimization, and large‑scale data processing.
  • Strong experience in data migration using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse.
  • Expertise in ETL / ELT pipeline design, data integration, and transformation.
  • Experience building semantic models and supporting analytics use cases.
  • Knowledge of data security, access controls, and compliance standards.

Educational Qualification(s): Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
