Job Summary
The
Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative, logistical, and operational functions of the school. This role ensures that the non-academic aspects of the school run smoothly and efficiently, supporting the educational mission by managing facilities, security, transportation, procurement, and general services.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance of buildings, classrooms, grounds, and infrastructure.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and regular inspections.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Administration & Logistics
Oversee school-wide operational systems and processes.
Manage support staff including security, housekeeping, transport, and maintenance teams.
Handle contracts and relationships with vendors and service providers.
Ensure timely procurement and inventory management of supplies and equipment.
Manage school transport operations, including bus routes, safety procedures, and driver supervision.
Ensure compliance with transport safety standards.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
Implement and monitor school-wide health and safety policies.
Coordinate fire drills and emergency preparedness protocols.
Ensure the school complies with all local regulations and licensing requirements.
Work with the finance department to plan and monitor the operations budget.
Control expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Event & Facility Management
Coordinate logistics for school events, examinations, and extracurricular activities.
Oversee bookings and usage of school facilities.
- IT & Systems Support (if applicable)
Liaise with IT support teams to ensure functionality of school technology infrastructure.
Support implementation of administrative software or ERP systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school or educational environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with local health, safety, and education regulations.
Proficient in MS Office and school management software.

Working Hours
Full-time, Monday to Saturday
May require availability during weekends or after hours for special events or emergencies
