Overview

This position will support the BU QC Lead to enhance the Quality Governance over 45 operating plant spread across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri lankaThis role leads the capability building program and quality system implementation at plant including but not limited to

Capability Building

  • Implementation/monitoring of GFSS (Global food safety system)
  • Trade sampling program
  • Product testing proficiency program
  • Ingredient water program
  • Treated water Pesticide monitoring program
  • RMPM/FG FSSR compliance
  • 3C Quality program
  • Trouble shooting at plant
  • Support/cover the beverage commercialization activities. This role is also responsible in ensuring quality and food safety standards are maintained in the roll-out of new products for qualifying lines new processes and new technologies ensuring that new products are launched successfully. This role has full decision making authority on areas or issues ensuring the above functional activities ensuring the products or processes are safe, stable and legal. It interfaces with several stakeholders within the business as well various bottlers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Capability Building Program, need extensive coordination with PepsiCo Global/Sector team and bottlers to run the program smoothly and covers all the designated program as per the BU need, including for Greenfield plant.
  • Responsible for implementing/monitoring the GFSS program
  • Lead the Trade sampling program, coordination with PepsiCo measurement science team, 3rd party courier partner, finance for budgeting and Field ready/special sample for New plant/New product.
  • Coordinate with external agency for Micro/NCB/Analytical proficiency program.
  • Lead the Ingredient water annual testing program, coordinate with PepsiCo water lab and bottling plant for 100% participation annually
  • Lead Ingredient water Pesticide program, coordinate with program lead and bottling plant for 100% participation when needed.
  • Act as single point contact for 3C quality program, including the sharing 3C report with plant team, identify opportunity area for improvement, conduct refresher training program, support the plant for trouble shooting.
  • This role also cover the absence of Beverage commercialization activities if need.
  • HACCP verification/validation at plants
  • Schedule and execute QAS audit for beverage facility

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelors degree in science or engineering with a strong understanding of Foods & Beverage manufacturing
  • Functional Experience: Approx. 7 - 10 years of experience and proven track record managing food safety within food manufacturing operations including allergen management program
  • GFSI lead auditor certification is considered as plus
