Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Freelance Occupational Therapist to provide home-based occupational therapy services across all age groups, including children, adults, and senior citizens. This role focuses on improving functional independence, safety, and participation in daily activities within the home environment.

The therapist will work independently during home visits while coordinating with a multidisciplinary clinical team for comprehensive care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1.Conduct in-home occupational therapy assessments for clients across age groups

2.Identify challenges in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs

3.Design and implement individualized intervention plans to support:

• Self-care, school, work, and home-based functional activities
• Fine motor skills, hand function, and upper limb coordination
• Sensory processing, attention, and cognitive-perceptual skills (where applicable)
• Functional mobility and task participation within the home environment

4.Recommend and train clients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment

5.Perform home safety assessments and suggest practical environmental modifications

6.Educate caregivers and family members on:

• Safe task facilitation and handling techniques
• Energy conservation, task simplification, and routine structuring

7.Maintain clear clinical documentation and progress tracking

8.Collaborate remotely with physiotherapists, psychologists, nutritionists, and physicians as needed

9.Deliver therapy in line with ethical standards, safety protocols, and patient-centred care principles

• Eligibility CriteriaBachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT / MOT)
• Valid professional registration (as applicable)
• 03 years of clinical experience (paediatric / adult / neuro / ortho / home visit preferred)
• Comfortable providing therapy independently during home visits
• Strong communication skills with clients and caregivers across age groups
• Willingness to travel within assigned residential zones
• High standards of professionalism, punctuality, and clinical documentation
