Job Description

Position: Network Engineer.

Department: ITNS.

Location: HSR Bangalore (9hours shift) / BTR (Hebbal - 12hours of rotational shift).

Working Days: 6 Days (Monday to Saturday).

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Network Engineer to manage and support day-to-day network operations across commercial office locations. The role involves LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet support, troubleshooting client IT issues, coordinating with ISPs and vendors, and supporting new office setups and IT upgrades. The ideal candidate will ensure high network uptime, basic security compliance, and excellent client support while also assisting with IT assets and procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide day-to-day network support for LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.

2. Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.

3. Attend and resolve IT/network issues raised by clients in the workspace.

4. Monitor network uptime, bandwidth usage, and report performance issues.

5. Help in structured cabling, patch panel management, and network rack organization.

6. Coordinate with Internet Service Providers for downtime, link issues, and ticket follow-up.

7. Support in setting up networks during new office openings and IT upgrades.

8. Assist in documentation, including network diagrams, IP inventory, and device configurations.

9. Ensure Wi-Fi coverage and performance through basic troubleshooting.

10. Provide support for IT peripherals such as CCTV, biometric machines, printers, and servers.

11. Ensure basic network security practices, including password management and access control.

12. Identify client requirements and upsell IT assets/services

13. Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and asset tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma / bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
  • 25 years of relevant experience in network support / IT infrastructure roles
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA / Network+ will be an added advantage
  • Good Understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, access points, and basic firewall configurations
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, patch panels, rack management, and cable labeling
  • Ability to monitor network uptime, bandwidth usage, and performance issues
  • Basic knowledge of network security, access controls, and password policies
  • Familiarity with IP addressing, network diagrams, and IT documentation
  • Experience supporting CCTV systems, biometric devices, printers, and basic server infrastructure
  • Basic troubleshooting of Wi-Fi coverage, signal strength, and performance issues
  • Experience handling client-reported IT and network issues in a workspace environment
  • Ability to coordinate with ISPs and external vendors for downtime resolution and follow-ups
  • Exposure to IT procurement processes, asset tracking, and vendor coordination
  • Good communication and customer-handling skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-location, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to support new office openings, site visits, and after-hours activities when required
