Description and Requirements
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on the shift, ensuring compliance with defined operating procedures.
- Prioritize tasks to support the team's objectives and respect defined priorities.
- Maintain Daily Status Reports (DSR) of various tasks.
Shift and On-Call Support:
- Comfortable with working night shifts.
- Provide mandatory on-call support during off-shift hours, holidays, and weekends for Sev1/Sev2 issues on a rotational basis.
Task and Change Management:
- Write and review change requests as part of the change management process.
- Assist in the resolution of issues and actively engage in problem management activities.
Network Performance and Documentation:
- Monitor and recommend improvements for overall network performance.
- Prepare, update, and maintain documentation including network diagrams, staff contacts, vendor contacts, and utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools.
Team Leadership:
- Help lead the team and participate in various project activities such as migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure.
Network Infrastructure:
- Support for LAN, WAN, routing, and including Cisco ACI, and next-gen firewalls.
- Experience with FMC required
- Proficiency in layer 3 switching concepts including HSRP, VRRP, VLAN configuration, VTP, and STP.
- Troubleshooting skills for VPN, SSL environments, and related issues.
- Understanding routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, and policy-based routing.
- Knowledge and experience with Cisco Nexus switches including VPC and VDC.
Security:
- Design and deploy Cisco ISE solutions to secure network access and enforce policies.
- Integration of Cisco ISE with existing switching and routing infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Cisco RADIUS and TACAS.
- Data Center infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Experience with Cisco ASA and FTD firewalls/Fire Power.
- Cloud and Load Balancing:
- Good to have understanding of AWS cloud networking.
- Knowledge of load balancers like F5 BigIP and AWS ELB.
Additional Job Description
General Skills:
- Must have 8-14 years of experience.
- Proficient in using packet analysis tools like Wireshark.
- Understanding of security devices including Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
- Proven experience in preparing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
- Communication and Leadership.
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Education Qualifications:
- CCNP or CCNA certification
Shift: Permanent Night Shifts (6 PM IST to 3 AM IST from March to Nov & 7 PM IST to 4 AM IST from Nov to March)
