Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Implement network security measures and policies.
• Manage VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networks.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support network infrastructure for business applications.
• Perform network capacity planning and upgrades.
• Document network configurations and maintain inventory.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and network backup.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and tools.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of scripting for network automation (Python, Bash).
• Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization.
