RRD currently seeking Network Engineer for Technology Services team to join in Chennai

Job Description

  • Responsible for providing senior-level network engineering leadership to ensure the overall stability, integrity, and efficiency of assigned system(s) infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical service and support.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve highly advanced complex issues in support of business processing requirements.
  • Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system. Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their architecture framework.
  • Must have large enterprise, client-facing experience with Excellent Troubleshooting skills &implementation

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Senior Network & Security Engineer or similar role.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, etc.).
  • Solid experiences in Routing, Switching and Palo Alto Firewalls. Aruba wireless, Cisco ISE, SDWAN and Load Balancer knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Respond to system/network incidents, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and identify and resolve network-related problems.
  • Should have strong troubleshooting knowledge, able to handle escalation of L3 level of switches, routers, Firewall and Load Balancer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to identify and resolve complex network-related issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including IOS updates & configuration backups and execute DR tests.
  • Close findings from security audits and vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Representing the network in Audit and Compliance discussion, plan and mitigate Audit observations.
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Coordination with OEM teams to raise RMA for getting the device replacement.
  • Monitoring critical links and raising tickets with the ISP team for resolving the link down issue..
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Working and updating Ticketing tools along with monitoring the Infra with Network Monitoring tools and Log Analyzing tools.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Timely resolution of issues and RCA submissions.
  • Mentor team members on technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Project management and ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Design and deploy various network devices and services. Handover the documentation with KT to Teams.

Requirements for this role include:

Essential Qualifications: Graduate / Post Graduate degree equivalent in electronics / computer science

Experience: Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in handling the IT Infrastructure Network Services

Organization Structure: Reports to the Team Leads & Manager – Technology Services T3

Work Schedule: Ability to work in flexible schedule during day, night Shifts and weekend on call support (24*7 coverage)

Shift Duration: 9 Hours

Work Location: Work from Office

Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Firewall & Cloud certifications or any other relevant certification are preferred.
