About The Role

The Network Engineer II at CBTS plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures for our managed service clients. This position requires a highly skilled professional capable of managing large-scale enterprise networks, troubleshooting issues promptly, and implementing advanced security measures. A key focus of this role is the integration of SD-WAN, SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), and NaaS (Network as a Service) products into customer environments, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance. The Network Engineer II will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Managed Service Providers, Architects, Security teams, and clients, to deliver innovative networking solutions aligned with industry best practices and client requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Certifications such as CCNA are required, with CCNP or higher certifications preferred. Candidates should have at least 7+ years of relevant work experience in network engineering within a Managed Service Provider environment or similar enterprise setting. Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting multi-vendor enterprise networks is essential. Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, NaaS, routing, switching, and network security protocols is required. Experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, or other leading vendors in these domains is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including SD-WAN, SASE, and NaaS solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Managed Service Providers, network architects, and security teams to plan and execute network transformations and enhancements.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate tools and products, conducting proof of concepts, and evaluating new technologies for integration.
  • Review and provide feedback on network design documents, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, technical reports, and presentations to communicate solutions and recommendations effectively.
  • Support the development of the company's technology roadmap by providing insights and strategic guidance.
  • Work closely with enterprise architects, security teams, and IT staff to implement and enforce network standards and reference architectures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and organizational objectives through rigorous adherence to best practices.
  • Engage with project and program managers to ensure timely delivery of network solutions aligned with business goals.
