THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Lead with expertise in managing and administering various applications used in software development and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in version control systems, artifact repositories, code search tools, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, manage user access, and integrate new tools as needed. The candidate should be adaptable and capable of supporting Perforce, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Opengrok, Monitoring tools, and other applications that may be introduced over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and maintain Perforce, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, OpenGrok, and other DevOps-related applications.
- Manage depot management, access control, server/cluster administration, and application deployments for various tools.
- Debug and resolve issues related to performance, access, and integrations across multiple applications.
- Handle GitHub repository management, GitHub Actions workflows, and GitHub runner administration across different Linux distributions.
- Oversee JFrog Artifactory, including architecture management, replication, repository configuration, and user access control.
- Utilize and administer monitoring and code search tools such as OpenGrok, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Strong experience in writing Container Images using Docker or similar platforms.
- Strong experience in managing and deploying containers at scale on Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
- Good experience in setting up monitoring and observability platforms for Platform infrastructure.
- Good experience in writing CI/CD workflows for GitHub repos
- Provide expertise in Linux administration, supporting various distributions.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Shell, Python, Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
- Stay up to date with new tools and technologies, evaluating and integrating them as required.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Execute medium to large-scale tasks independently, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and document progress.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven 8 to 12 years of experience in administration and management of DevOps-related applications.
- Expertise in Perforce administration, including depot management, server/cluster management, and access control.
- Strong understanding of GitHub repository management and GitHub Actions workflows.
- Experience with GitHub runner management on different Linux distributions.
- In-depth knowledge of JFrog Artifactory administration, including architecture, replicas, and repository management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Proficiency in Linux system administration across multiple distributions.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and VS Code
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new applications and technologies while collaborating effectively with the US team lead and other stakeholders.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain operational knowledge and best practices.
- Good experience in setting up monitoring and observability platforms for Platform infrastructure.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
