Responsibilities
You will be the architect of how our robots move. Your goal is to develop smooth, efficient, and safe trajectories that allow our humanoids and other industrial robots to navigate complex, dynamic environments with fluid precision.
What You'll Be Doing
- Path Planning: Implement and tune global and local planners (A*, RRT*, Lattice Planners, or MPC).
- Control Theory: Design and refine PID, LQR, or Model Predictive Control (MPC) loops to ensure precise tracking of generated paths.
- Dynamic Obstacle Avoidance: Develop reactive navigation behaviors to handle moving obstacles in real-time.
- Kinematics: Work with robot kinematic models to translate high-level commands into motor velocities and joint positions.
What We're Looking For
- Mathematical Rigor: Deep comfort or interest in Trigonometry, Calculus, and Coordinate Transformations. You love turning equations into motion.
- Coding: Strong C++ and/or Python skills. Experience with ROS/ROS2 is highly valued.
- Simulation-to-Reality: Proven experience using Gazebo or Webots, with a hunger to move those controllers onto physical hardware.
- Bonus: Understanding of state estimation (Kalman Filters/EKF).
