Job Title: Modern Trade Manager

Role Overview
The Modern Trade Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing brand visibility, and strengthening presence across modern trade channels. This role involves managing key retail accounts, executing strategic business plans, and ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement annual business plans for modern trade channels such as Reliance Retail, DMart, Spencer's, Big Bazaar, etc.
Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, including category buyers and store managers.
Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, margins, trade terms, and promotions.
Ensure product listings, availability, and visibility across all stores and regions.
Plan and execute promotions, in-store activations, and trade marketing initiatives to drive sales.
Monitor account-wise sales performance, ROI, and profitability metrics.
Collaborate with marketing teams for planograms, displays, and branding execution.
Coordinate with supply chain and operations for timely stock replenishment and order fulfillment.
Ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and closure of claims with retail partners.
Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market insights to identify growth opportunities.
Lead, train, and manage merchandisers and promoters to ensure in-store execution excellence.
Requirements & Qualifications
Graduate / MBA in Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
4–5 years of experience in Modern Trade / Key Account Management (preferably in FMCG, Beauty, or D2C sectors).
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in sales data analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance).
