Mep Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs and calculations for grading, roadways, drainage, water distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, electrical systems, pumping systems, HVAC systems, and fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring compliance with all local and international codes and guidelines.
• Develop tender and construction drawings along with detailed engineering design plans.
• Identify and validate design issues, suggesting alternative solutions to support corrective actions for all civil engineering-related challenges.
• Conduct periodic site assessments to monitor the quality and compliance of engineering works in progress.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works.
• Provide engineering inputs to support value engineering initiatives aimed at optimizing project costs and efficiency.
• Prepare technical engineering specifications for all civil and MEP projects.
• Draft scopes of work, design criteria, employer's requirements, and terms of reference for projects managed by the organization.
• Prepare and submit reports, memoranda, committee notes, tender evaluation reports, monthly progress reports, and other required correspondence.
• Execute tender evaluations and compile detailed tender evaluation reports.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as required to ensure smooth project execution and communication.
• Perform any other duties consistent with the job role and responsibilities.
