Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Mulshi. The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for analytical and control instruments, from concept through detailed design and prototyping. Responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models, drawings, and BOMs in CAD tools, performing basic calculations and design validations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role involves supporting manufacturing and installation teams with design clarifications, contributing to design reviews, and implementing engineering changes based on testing and field feedback. The engineer will also assist in documentation, standardization of design practices, and continuous improvement of product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with hands-on exposure to Design Engineering and Machine Design.
  • Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development, detailing, and design for manufacturability.
  • Practical experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modelling, drafting, and tolerance specification, Solid Edge software
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in industrial instrumentation, precision mechanisms, or related domains is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams, and willingness to visit shop floor or customer sites as needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process and applicable machinery and tools
  • Knowledge of the Quality assurance plan
  • Ready to visit site for understanding actual information and purpose of engineering application
  • Problem solving mindset and ability to conclude task
