Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing mechanical structures and enclosures for high-performance EV battery packs
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing-ready documents
- Performing structural analysis, material selection, thermal considerations, and DFMA best practices
- Supporting the fabrication of prototype battery packs, including coordination with vendors and in-house teams
- Conducting mechanical testing, validation, and iterative improvements based on real-world performance
- Collaborating closely with electronics, thermal, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of the battery pack into the overall system
- Optimizing designs for reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / CATIA
- Good understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with designing enclosures, structural components, or thermal/mechanical systems (preferred)
- Ability to independently take ownership of full design cyclesfrom concept to prototype to testing
- Passion for building hardware, solving engineering challenges, and working in a fast-paced startup environment
