ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the R&D team, the employee should be able to work independently & perform following duties to support the team's goals but not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor's degree or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or Product design (Mechanical) with 4 8 years experience in complete lifecycle of Product Design and Development.
o Experience in design of Electro-Mechanical products (Ex: Medical devices, Consumer appliances) o Experience in working in designs for various manufacturing technologies including plastic injection molding, silicones, precision machining & sheet metal.
o Experience in selection of materials & various finishing processes.
o Design calculation and optimization for component & system level, strong foundation and working knowledge in GD & T & stack up analysis.
o Exposure to solving thermal management within the device and successfully handled thermal problems in the projects.
o Experience with rapid prototype and different prototyping techniques for building proof of concept and Functional prototype for testing.
o Good analytical skills in problem solving, identify the technical risk and mitigating them systematically.
o Able to work in new areas and propose solutions to the problems related to system level that not confined to only mechanical stream.
o Hands on Experience with CAD software's like SolidWorks with exposure to surface modelling, skeleton model/Master model concept.
o Able to work independently & experience with working in cross functional teams.
o Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Self-motivated, proactive and passion to finish (fire in belly).
o Clear thinker, systemic & going in depth.
o Flexible, hands-on and willing to learn new technologies.
o Good team player with good collaboration skills.
o Well organized & effective at work.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
o Medical devices product development experience will be an added advantage.
o Experience with Medical Device Directive (MDD), ISO 13485, Design controls or similar regulatory environment and QMS will be an added advantage.
