About The Opportunity

Healthcare Hospital & Women's Health (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) sector. On-site clinical role providing round-the-clock patient care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services in a busy tertiary/secondary care setting in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. This rotational-shift position offers hands-on exposure to obstetric emergencies, labour management and perioperative support for gynaecology cases.

Role: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) - Gynecology

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous on-site clinical coverage for the Gynaecology department on rotational shiftsmanage admissions, triage, and routine inpatient care.
  • Monitor labour progress using partograph, assist with normal vaginal deliveries and escalate promptly for operative intervention when indicated.
  • Stabilise and manage obstetric emergencies (eclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, obstructed labour) and coordinate referrals/escalation to senior consultants.
  • Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care for gynaecology and obstetric procedures, including perioperative monitoring and wound care.
  • Perform neonatal resuscitation and initial newborn stabilization in delivery suite; ensure timely handover to paediatric team when required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medication charts, and handover notes; adhere to infection control and hospital protocols.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS degree with valid registration in India (State Medical Council)
  • Proven clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology rotational duties or as an on-site medical officer
  • Competence in managing normal vaginal deliveries and assisting in caesarean sections
  • Experience in emergency obstetric care and labour monitoring (partograph)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and competency in neonatal resuscitation techniques
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with inpatient medical record-keeping and medication administration

Preferred

  • Prior experience as an RMO or Junior Resident in a busy obstetrics unit
  • Training or short courses in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics or neonatal care
  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts and night duties in an on-site hospital environment

  • On-site role based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh (rotational shift schedule)
