The Opportunity
We're hiring a Marketing Manager to build the brand engine for a retail-first business. You'll own everything from national brand campaigns to store-level activations, from festive marketing calendars to new store launch playbooks. This is a build role you're creating the marketing function, not inheriting one.
What You Will Do
- Build and own the brand's annual marketing calendar festive campaigns (Durga Puja, Diwali, Eid, Pongal, Onam, weddings), seasonal pushes, and brand moments
- Create and execute new store launch marketing playbooks Indian Silk House Agencies is opening 80100 stores per year; each needs a hyper-local launch plan
- Drive Local Area Marketing for each store geo-targeted social ads, local influencer partnerships, community events, RWA tie-ups, and catchment-level awareness
- Build brand narrative around 15,000 artisans, 100+ weaving traditions not just awareness, but a story that drives walk-ins
- Own social media presence content strategy, production, posting calendar, engagement. Content must translate into footfall, not just likes
- Manage influencer programme national creators for brand building + local/regional influencers for store-level footfall
- Plan and execute in-store events, trunk shows, weaver meet-and-greets, styling sessions, and festive previews
- Coordinate VM (Visual Merchandising) support with ops team ensure brand consistency across 100+ stores
- Drive PR and earned media brand stories in lifestyle press, local newspaper coverage for new store launches, cultural event partnerships
- Manage digital marketing budget Meta, Google, YouTube optimised for store walk-ins and brand recall, not just online metrics
- Own franchise co-marketing create marketing toolkits for franchise partners, co-fund local activations, ensure brand standards
- Build and manage agency relationships and/or an in-house creative team over time
- Report marketing ROI to leadership footfall attribution, campaign-wise sales lift, brand tracking metrics
What We're Looking For
- 512 years of experience in marketing for a retail brand not D2C-only, not agency-only
- Proven experience driving footfall through marketing store launches, local activations, festive campaigns
- Has managed marketing for a 30+ store chain minimum understands multi-city, multi-store marketing complexity
- Strong brand storytelling ability can build an emotionally resonant narrative around heritage, craft, and culture
- Comfortable with both ATL (print, outdoor, PR, events) and digital (social, influencer, performance) not just one
- Experience with festive/seasonal marketing calendars in fashion, ethnic wear, lifestyle, or jewellery retail
- Understanding of Tier 2/3 city marketing expansion is not just metro-focused
- Builder mentality you're creating the function, not managing an existing machine
