As a Procurement function, Manager- Supplier Quality Control is responsible for ensuring that all vendors and supplied components meet the safety, reliability and compliance requirements.The Manager- Supplier Quality Control:
Standard Performance matrix (QCDI) - Define the quarterly performance review process by collecting and analyzing data on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Innovation
Compliance & Due Diligence - Define the requirements for vendor legitimacy by executing thorough due diligence quality parameters set in the Quality Control Plan.
Safety Compliance - Ensures that all onsite activities—including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)—are conducted in strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) obligations.
Physical Conformance - Ensures that all incoming materials, in-process fabrications, and finished goods exactly match the approved drawings and technical data sheets.
Process Adherence - Ensures the supplier's manufacturing team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Air Liquide's Quality System requirements during production.
Traceability - Ensures that raw materials (castings, forgings, valves), components & equipment are accompanied by valid material test certificates and are traceable to the specific heat or batch number.
Calibration - Ensures that all measurement and testing equipment (calipers, gauges, spectrometers) used during inspection are in current calibration and fit for use.
Corrective action Implementation - Ensures that Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) are not just raised, but effectively closed through verified root cause analysis and rework verification.
Good level of Interpretation of international engineering codes such as ASME, EN, PED, ASTM, API, IS etc.,
Knowledge of manufacturing processes pertaining to Static & Rotating equipments especially pressure vessels, heat exchangers, turbines, ASU equipments, plant piping, valves etc.,
Knowledge of metallurgy, including stainless steel and cryogenic materials used in oxygen and hydrogen production.
Review of critical documents not restricted to MTCs, Drawings, WPS/PQR, NDE reports, MDRs etc.,
Knowledge of CE marking process.

Years:
If B.E (Mechanical) graduate, 8+ Years in Quality domain especially as a Supplier Quality Controller typically in Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Heavy Industries and/or EPC.
If Diploma (Mechanical) graduate, 10+ Years in Quality domain especially as a Supplier Quality Controller typically in Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Heavy Industries and/or EPC.
Certification: Must have ASNT-SNT-TC1A Level 2 in RT, PT, UT & MPT or ISO9712 in similar techniques. AWS CWI / CSWIP 3.2 and/or NACE / BGAS will be an added advantage.
Skills: Knowledge of any of the Problem solving tools such as 7QC, DMAIC, 8D & QPS is preferred.
