Location: Delhi NCR

Reports To: Director Commercial, Metals

Position Summary

The Manager, Sales (TMT Bars) will be responsible for driving sales growth of TMT bars across assigned territories and customer segments. The role requires strong market knowledge of the construction and infrastructure sector, project sales expertise, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships. The incumbent will be responsible for generating new business, managing key accounts, achieving volume and margin targets, and ensuring seamless order execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Sales & Business Development

•        Drive sales of TMT bars across retail, dealer, distributor, institutional, project, and infrastructure segments.

•        Identify and acquire new customers including contractors, builders, developers, EPC companies, government contractors, and steel traders.

•        Develop and expand dealer/distributor networks in assigned territories.

•        Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets.

•        Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.

•        Support market expansion initiatives and penetration into new geographies.

 

Customer Relationship Management

•        Build strong relationships with builders, contractors, project owners, consultants, and distributors.

•        Conduct regular customer visits to understand project pipelines, demand forecasts, and competitive activity.

•        Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and product offerings.

•        Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and service excellence.

 

Sales Operations & Order Execution

•        Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely supply and delivery of required material.

•        Monitor order execution, dispatches, stock availability, and fulfilment schedules.

•        Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and CRM records.

•        Manage receivables, credit exposure, and collections for assigned accounts.

 

Market Intelligence & Reporting

•        Monitor TMT pricing trends, competitor activity, market movements, and regional demand patterns.

•        Track construction, infrastructure, and real-estate projects to identify new business opportunities.

•        Provide regular market intelligence and business insights to support pricing and sales strategies.

•        Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market developments.

 

Compliance & Process Adherence

•        Ensure adherence to commercial terms, quality standards, and internal SOPs.

•        Maintain complete documentation related to orders, contracts, dispatches, and collections.

•        Support continuous improvement initiatives across the sales process.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Education

•        Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or related discipline.

•        MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.

 

Experience

•        3–8+ years of B2B sales experience in TMT bars, long steel products, steel distribution, steel trading, or building materials.

•        Proven experience in project sales.

•        Strong understanding of the construction, infrastructure, and real-estate ecosystem.

•        Experience in handling pricing, negotiations, and large-volume sales transactions.

•        Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and sales reporting systems.
