Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the global testing strategy and roadmap for supply chain transformation initiatives (ERP, planning, logistics, manufacturing, quality, distribution).
  • Build, manage, and lead a global team of test leads, analysts, and automation engineers; provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with program managers, product owners, solution architects, and supply chain operations to align on requirements, risks, dependencies, and quality expectations.
  • Oversee end-to-end test planning and execution, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT phases.
  • Establish and enforce testing standards, tools, templates, and methodologies across all teams and vendors.
  • Drive test environment and test data management; ensure environments are fit for purpose, stable, and controlled.
  • Manage vendor testing activities, ensuring alignment with Mattel's standards and program goals.
  • Own the defect management process tracking, prioritization, escalation, reporting, and closure.
  • Report regularly to executive stakeholders on test metrics, quality status, risks, and readiness.
  • Champion continuous improvement expand automation, optimize test cycles, and drive innovation in testing approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and industry regulations (e.g., toy safety, manufacturing compliance).

Qualifications

Must-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial / Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in testing / quality assurance with at least 6+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong background in supply chain processes and systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, planning tools, quality systems).
  • Demonstrated success in leading large, complex testing efforts for global or enterprise-scale transformation programs.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, defect management, and test automation practices.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional, cross-regional teams in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels.

Preferred

  • Experience in consumer products, toys, retail, or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with modern automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestRail, Tosca, or similar).
  • Experience with performance/load testing and test environment management.
  • Background in vendor management and contract test resource oversight.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory testing requirements in manufacturing.
