Senior QA Automation Engineer - Python

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Validation:
• Work closely with development, product management, and customer engineering teams to validate features, system behavior, and security aspects.
• Design and implement test strategies, topologies, and test plans for large-scale networking and security solutions.
• Understand and replicate customer deployments for real-world validation.
• Test Execution & Automation:
• Execute manual and automated test cases to validate end-to-end solutions.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks for API and CLI testing.
• Perform performance, scale, and convergence testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize system behavior.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting:
• Investigate, debug, and troubleshoot complex networking issues.
• Collaborate with the development team to validate fixes and improve system reliability.
• Customer-Centric Testing & Support:
• Review customer environments, deployments, and escalations to address any test coverage gaps.
• Assist in customer issue reproduction and resolution.
• Provide technical reports and validation documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Process Improvement:
• Work in an Agile/SCRUM environment to ensure efficient test cycles.
• Continuously optimize testing approaches and automate repetitive validation tasks.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in QA and automation testing.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in networking domain testing.
• 3+ years of experience in Python automation (or similar programming languages).
• 3+ years of experience in automated API and CLI testing.
• Strong experience in test framework development and harness integration.
• Deep understanding of performance, scalability, and security testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM team with continuous integration practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack, Linux-based environments).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
