Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Plant HR Manager to lead all human resource functions at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manpower planning, employee relations, compliance, and performance management, while also promoting a safe and engaging work environment. This role is key to aligning HR strategy with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment

  • Drive plant manpower planning in alignment with production targets
  • Ensure timely recruitment of staff, workers, and contract labor
  • Oversee smooth implementation of onboarding and induction programs

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Maintain a positive industrial relations (IR) climate with zero disruptions
  • Design and implement employee welfare and engagement initiatives
  • Liaise with union/worker representatives as needed

3. Compliance & Statutory Management

  • Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws (e.g., ESIC, PF, Factory Act, etc.)
  • Manage all statutory returns, inspections, and audits in a timely manner

4. Training & Development

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for staff and workers
  • Implement technical, behavioral, and statutory training programs
  • Ensure a minimum of 1 man-day of training per employee per month

5. Performance Management

  • Drive the Performance Management System (PMS) for staff and workers
  • Facilitate goal setting, mid-year reviews, and final appraisals

6. Time Office & Attendance

  • Oversee daily operations of attendance, leave, and payroll coordination
  • Ensure accurate shift scheduling and data input for payroll processing

7. HR MIS & Reporting

  • Maintain real-time HR dashboards for attrition, recruitment, training, absenteeism, etc.
  • Submit monthly HR reports to the corporate office

8. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Promote safety culture in collaboration with EHS and Plant Head
  • Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, first aid kits, and safety tools
