Responsibilities

Roles & responsibilities

Role Description: This individual would play a senior leadership role at the Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice for US Geography, KPMG Global Services (KGS). The individual would be reporting in to the Head of Global Mobility Services (GMS) at KGS and would lead Bridge team. This team is a part of Tax GMS Service Delivery business unit of KPMG Global Services.

Operational Excellence

This role will manage and be the overall head for the business, This role is responsible for managing most day-to-day aspects on engagement administration tasks (e.g., certain program manager client relationships, financials, process improvements, initial point of contact for escalations, global coordination.).

Associate Directors provide direction to team and make certain that resources are utilized appropriately. Leads select KGS practice-wide operational areas, such as training, recruiting, talent management, etc.

Associate Directors actively involved in executing KGS firm strategy and key decisions including resource allocation, career development of staff, risk and other people management decisions, as well as developing relationships with the US offices in order to increase hours and penetration. This group reports to KGS Directors/Executive Directors. Their role is to develop policies and procedures that are needed to effectively mange the process and team.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications

Minimum master's degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance Experience (CA/ CPA MBA( Finance) / ICWA)

Mandatory technical & functional skills

Minimum 12-18 year experience in US Tax, with experience of signing US Tax returns, Ability to interpret US Tax Laws. SME in Partnership or Corporate Tax

Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with US engagement teams

Experience of working in a cross-cultural environment

Secondment / onshore experience in US will be an added advantage.

Work with the Operating Office (OO) teams to maximize utilization, ensure client metrics and turnaround times are met, and teams are meeting or exceeding OO and client's expectations

Mandatory technical & functional skills

Effectively manage most overall engagement management for Bridge services, such as program manager client relationships, financials, global

coordination, global mobility/payroll advisory services, etc.

Effectively manage competing/conflicting deliverables. Proactively schedule and drive meeting with team and OO teams to discuss status of engagement projects and plan of action for completion

Take accountability for the quality of deliverables and meets deadlines through effective delegation

Directly engage with the client

Establish and communicate vision, goals and expectations for high-quality products and exceptional service

Anticipate current and future needs based on deep understanding of OO needs

Identify and secure resources needed to meet client demands

Display confidence and expertise even in difficult or stressful situations and setbacks

Demonstrate a consistent track record in people development

Provide effective feedback to the team and creates an environment where feedback flows openly and, in all directions.

Inspire people for better performance and uphold the firm's standards
