Job Overview:

The Manager – TBIC will be responsible for driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup incubation activities within the university ecosystem. The role involves supporting early-stage startups, facilitating industry-academia collaboration, managing incubation programs, and enabling commercialization of research outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Incubation & Startup Support

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard startups into the incubation program
• Mentor and guide startups on business strategy, product development, and scaling
• Track startup progress and ensure milestone achievement
• Facilitate access to funding

2. Program Management

• Design and execute incubation, acceleration, and pre-incubation programs
• Organize bootcamps, hackathons, workshops, and demo days
• Monitor KPIs and prepare periodic reports for stakeholders

3. Industry & Ecosystem Engagement

• Build partnerships with industries, investors, mentors, and government bodies
• Collaborate with innovation bodies like Startup India, DST, MSME, and Atal Innovation Mission
• Develop MoUs with corporates and research institutions

4. Fundraising & Grants

• Identify funding opportunities from government and private agencies
• Prepare proposals for grants (DST, DBT, MeitY, etc.)
• Manage fund utilization and compliance

5. Academic & Institutional Integration

• Promote entrepreneurship among students and faculty
• Support faculty startups and technology commercialization
• Integrate incubation activities with academic curriculum and research

6. Operations & Administration

• Manage day-to-day operations of the incubation center
• Oversee infrastructure, co-working spaces, and labs
• Ensure compliance with university and regulatory norms

Key Deliverables:

• Number of startups incubated and graduated
• Funds raised by incubated startups
• Industry collaborations and MoUs signed
• Successful events and outreach programs conducted
• Revenue generation / sustainability of the incubation center

Education Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Management, Engineering, Technology, or related field
• MBA (Entrepreneurship / Innovation) preferred

Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in:
• Startup ecosystem / incubation center
• Innovation management / entrepreneurship development
• Industry collaboration or business development

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of startup ecosystem and funding landscape
• Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills
• Program management and leadership abilities
• Proposal writing and fundraising expertise
• Communication and mentoring skills

Job Location: Guntur Andhra Pradesh
