Job Summary
The Intelligent Automation Manager leads a team of Developers, QA Testers, Business Analysts and Production Support Analysts. This leader is responsible for the development lifecycle of IDP models that involves design, develop, and deploy solutions that will interact with Bread Financial documents (scanned, email, voice, unstructured text, images) to turn them into structured data. This data is further used for automation or data analytics according to the requirements of prioritized use cases, works closely with business and technology partners, oversees implementation of projects, and delivery of analytics-based process-improvement solutions.
This Manager participates in work prioritization, working closely with different departments like RPA, partnering with vendors like Indico professional services and driving the intake process using agile/scrum methodologies. Additional responsibilities include coordination between India and U.S. teams and working with the process owners in the business on various automation initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Delivery Management - Translate the department strategy to actionable deliverables for the team. Understand and adhere to processes and business SLAs with internal partners. Manage shared work with vendors as needed. Work closely with internal client teams, RPA delivery teams, and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) team to quantify measurable benefits of deployments and ensure alignment with organization strategy. Ensure robust quality control and contingency plans are in place.
- Collaboration - Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to manage data logistics – including data specifications, transfers, structures, and rules. Collaborate with business users, business analysts and technical architects in transforming business requirements into analytical workbenches, tools and dashboards reflecting usability best practices and current design trends. Demonstrate analytical, interpersonal, and professional communication skills. Learn quickly and work effectively individually and as part of a team.
- Talent Management - Lead a team of engaged associates and contractors, ensuring they meet or exceed defined role expectations. Provide development to a team with ongoing coaching and feedback, performance management, career development and administrative support. Request and utilize feedback to foster personal development.
- Process Improvement - Manage resource capacity and production support expectations. Develop and maintain organizational strategies that support current and future workforce, business, and financial needs. Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance, priority exceptions, and audit requests as necessary.
Reports to: Senior Manager or above
Direct Reports: 7-8, with up 12-13 indirect reports
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Hybrid role, work in corporate office as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience leading teams of people in a professional setting.
- 2+ years hands-on work experience with Document Understanding (Indico, UiPath Document Understanding) and Process Improvement / Automation.
- 10+ years of team management experience in IT automation/ Transformation / Intelligent Automation roles with IDP and AI (preferably) in an offshore delivery center.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or related field of study.
- 8+ years of experience with RPA, Data Science and/or IDP development with one of the market leading tools.
- Certifications in industry leading Artificial Intelligence Products, Robotics Process Automation Products or Technical Architecture Design.
- Experience with Data Science/Machine Learning.
