Zonal Retail Sales Manager
About the Role:
The Zonal Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the entire Retail (Cash & Carry) business within a defined zone. This high-yield business segment focuses on Prepaid and Freight on Delivery (FoD) transactions, catering primarily to MSME, SME, and Walk-in customers. The role demands strong leadership in Channel Partner development, yield management, market expansion, and driving revenue growth through new client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel Partner Development & Management
Recruit, onboard, and manage CPs/franchisees to expand market reach. Develop and implement CP training on operations and billing. Monitor performance and compliance via regular audits.
2. Yield Improvement & Profitability
Own the P&L and ensure high profitability. Set optimal pricing strategies based on market rates and costs. Proactively manage Rate Per Kg (RPK) and upsell premium/faster services.
3. New Trade Clusters Opening & Expansion
Identify, plan, and execute new trade cluster openings (MSME/SME hubs). Drive rapid deployment of new retail outlets to quickly capture market share.
4. Revenue Growth & Target Achievement
Establish and aggressively achieve AOP revenue targets. Develop and roll out incentives for CPs and the sales team. Own the zone's overall profitability and top-line revenue.
5. New Client Onboarding (Walk-in & Coded Retail)
Maximize Walk-in customer conversion (highest yield). Lead initiatives to convert high-potential walk-ins into Coded Retail Clients for sustained, repeat business. Ensure seamless customer experience.
Skills:
Retail Sales Management, Part Truck Load (PTL) or Express Cargo operations, Yield/Rate Per Kg (RPK) management ,Leadership, Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
