Overview
The role will coordinate and prepare financial materials for
Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and
Plant Manager reviews, own productivity targets, and work with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver financial and operational efficiencies using strong analytics. The role will partner closely with Engineering on
capital planning, cost treatment, and capital budget management.
As part of project responsibilities, the role will serve as the
Finance Lead for Project Ashoka, managing capitalizations, change orders, and related financial activities, including support for
government incentive and capital subsidy applications. Overall, this role manages the
complete operations finance agenda for India PGCS plants, covering FP&A, project finance, capital management, and productivity delivery alongside day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities
Lead financial management and reporting of India concentrate operating costs, act as finance lead for various projects and drive productivity agenda.
- Lead month end reporting process for MOH across 2 sites including analysis of key trends and variances vs plan and forecast
- Provide timely insights to budget holders and initiate actions to mitigate risks and drive opportunities.
- Lead monthly forecasting process for MOH through partnership with operations teams
- Lead MOH AOP build, ensuring robust financial plan to support volume projections
- Lead role in coordinating material for various reviews such as QBR, Monthly Plant Manager meeting deck
- Undertake financial ownership of productivity targets and delivery through partnership with cross functional teams - leverage strong analytics to identify opportunities to deliver financial and operational efficiencies
- Work closely with Engineering to provide guidance on treatment of costs, manage capital budget and support in the resolution of queries.
- Project: Finance lead for project Ashoka, leading all relevant tasks such as capitalizations, chang orders.
- Support government incentives application for Ashoka plant.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE
- Experience in analysing and distilling large amounts of data into meaningful and presentable content to support decision making
- Strong working knowledge of volume processes and the ability to build slides that tell the financial story
- Collaboration, communication and influencing skills are key to success in this role
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem solve quickly in a changing and dynamic environment
- Strong systems experience - Microsoft Office applications and SAP/ BPC
