The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

10-15 years depending on scope of project Engineering & Technical Design Experience

Proven development and execution experience of the Mega Projects.

Knowledge in given category - Project Execution, Refrigeration & Air category Knowledge, Market Know how for Refrigeration and Air conditioners.

Good Project management Skills

System design - Refrigeration & Air conditioning

System integration - Integrate all the subsystems to deliver the product in the market.

  • PDP: Product Design Development, Production Process Development

Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others

Technical coaching abilities

Good Communication Skills

Good Leadership skills and team player.

  • Creo/Windchill knowledge is an added advantage.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Manage system integration of products in Production Development Projects for India & Export Asia Market

Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance, targets to support the project plans and project execution

Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan guardrails

Lead technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g.

Subsystem teams, V&V Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, V&V Strategist)

Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool, Product Development process, including the following:

Manage/Release of EBOMs based on project charter and architecture definition

Drive simulation of virtual prototypes and build of physical prototypes per V&V Plan

Document total expected variation to +/- 3 sigma distribution for each attribute

Designate high contributing factors toward each function as a Special Characteristic

Drive the measurement and documentation of the special characteristics on physical prototypes

Drive closure of dFMEA action plans and updated Occurrence & Detection, based on Concept and Design

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualification - Graduate / Post-graduate in Mechanical Engg.

Experience 10-15 yrs relevant experience in Refrigeration

( Mechanical /Structural Design)

Technical Skills

Project Management Ability to lead/close multiple projects at the same time

Conceptual & Analytical Skills

Cross-functional trade-offs between architecture function and form
