Preferred candidate profile
Industry Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the maritime, shipping, fuel trading, or carbon markets.
- Strong understanding of maritime decarbonization regulations, energy-saving technologies (ESDs), and alternative fuel markets.
- Experience in project management for ship retrofits and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
Sales Negotiation Skills:
- Proven track record of successfully closing deals and driving revenue growth.
- Strong B2B sales experience, ideally within shipowner, charterer, or fuel supplier networks.
- Experience in structuring carbon credit sales, emissions trading, and sustainability-linked transactions.
Technical Analytical Abilities:
- Knowledge of alternative marine fuels (biofuels, LNG, methanol, RFNBOs, etc.) and their impact on carbon intensity.
- Understanding of ESDs and their efficiency benefits, including wind-assisted propulsion, air lubrication systems, and energy-efficient propellers.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data to develop cost-saving compliance solutions for clients.
