Job Description

Role 1: KOTAK Private - Relationship Manager

Job Summary (1): Intermediaries (Cross Border transaction and FEMA Focus)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our Business Banking team as a Relationship Manager - Structured solutions, focusing on Intermediaries( Law firms, Consultancy firms, M&A Lawyers and CA Firms) with a specialization in Cross Border transactions(FDI,ODI and M&A). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building client base, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong relationships within Intermediaries. This position requires a deep understanding of banking products and services, excellent sales acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to RBI guidelines.

Key Responsibilities (1):

  • Cross Border Deals Acquisition and Relationship Management:
  • Identify and prospect potential Partners within the Intermediaries sector, including Law firms, Big four consultancy firms, Investment banks, Private equity firms, and M&A advisory companies. Build and maintain strong relationships with these Intermediaries, understanding their requirements on FEMA and cross border deals. Providing them with solutions and ensuring end to end execution of these deals with adhering to RBI guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • To actively engage and collaborate with Intermediaries on FEMA regulations and updates, to conduct Knowledge sessions for intermediaries on dynamic FEMA regulations and various cross border transactions executed by the bank. Promote suite of banking products and services, including Fx solutions, cash management, financing solutions and investment products, to support clients throughout the M&A process. Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the cross border transaction landscape, leveraging this knowledge to position our offerings effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Trade Compliance, Legal, and Banking, to facilitate seamless execution of deals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback and insights to product development teams based on client needs and market demand, contributing to the enhancement of our offerings.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of cross border deals opportunities, tracking progress and ensuring timely follow-up on leads. Work towards revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), consistently driving business growth and maximizing profitability. Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiating terms and closing deals in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities (2):

  • Identify customer needs and provide them with right financial planning assistance and asset allocation with the help of our Investment Advisory services.
  • Build and deepen relationships with existing HNI Customers to achieve increase in share of wallet.
  • Acquire New Clients for the firm and also develop new territories.
  • Increase AUM Book through cross selling products of bank and increasing wallet share
  • Work with colleagues of other divisions of the bank to Cross Sell products and services to clients.
  • Adhere to all company processes and policies, and carry the Kotak brand through developed functional and behavioural skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales roles within the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on Intermediaries, FEMA and Cross Border transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, including, treasury management, banking Solutions and commercial lending.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with Intermediaries and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and drive results.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Role 2 : Wholesale Banking - Transaction Banking-Sales- Product Sales Manager

Overview

GTS-Trade Sales is the Product specialist team that provides transaction banking solutions & expertise to segments - Consumer Bank, Commercial Bank and Wholesale Bank.

GTS-Trade Sales is a relationship team that caters to customers of Wholesale banking focusing on providing Transaction Banking solutions on Trade /Supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Manager for GTS Products -Trade /supplychain for wholesale banking clients
  • Responsible for the P & L of the GTS Trade products and ensure that the business teams allocate adequate limits for GTS products.
  • Responsible for achieving the product drivers such as average asset on trade products,, fees from trade and throughput on cross border transactions.
  • Postgraduate: MBA /CA
  • Experience in trade finance and cash management.
  • Understanding of RBI guidelines/FEMA/UCPDC/URR/URC/ISBP for trade finance.
  • Skills required:
    • Managing Client Experience
    • Have Liability Product Knowledge for Product Penetration
    • Understanding of Market and customer segment
  • Experience in operations and sales preferred
