Job Description

Job Title: MIS Executive Finance

Location: Gurugram

Experience Required: 12 years

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance MIS Executive to join our finance team. This role focuses on preparing accurate financial reports, performing reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and delivering insightful Management Information System (MIS) reports that support finance operations and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be strong in Excel, comfortable with large datasets, and capable of creating meaningful financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and update daily, weekly, and monthly financial MIS reports for finance and management review
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights on performance, trends, and anomalies that support business decisions
  • Perform financial reconciliations (e.g., bank, ledger, accounts receivable/payable) to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Create and update dashboards and performance trackers for key financial metrics (e.g., revenue, costs, cash flows)
  • Manage and maintain financial databases, ensuring clean and consistent data for reporting
  • Automate reports to improve efficiency using Excel formulas, Macros, or similar tools
  • Coordinate with finance stakeholders (e.g., accounting, operations) to collect required data and validate figures
  • Identify data gaps or errors and recommend corrective actions to enhance data quality and reporting accuracy
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and audit processes by preparing reconciliations and supporting documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 12 years of experience in finance, accounting, MIS reporting, or similar roles
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF/S, conditional formatting, data validation, and reporting automation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statement components
  • Ability to reconcile large sets of financial data with accuracy
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Deadline-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other financial visualization tools
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or database querying for data extraction
  • Exposure to ERP/Accounting systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books
  • Knowledge of financial ratios and performance metrics interpretation
  • Understanding of reconciliation best practices and internal controls
