Job Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of all machinery and equipment used in the printing & packaging of wooden cutlery and food ingredients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime across all plant operations. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, effective maintenance planning, cost control, and a commitment to maintaining safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee shop floor maintenance activities to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.

Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all machinery.

Lead breakdown analysis and troubleshooting, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.

Ensure machines upkeep through regular inspections and maintenance planning

Monitor and improve equipment uptime and efficiency.

Control and optimize maintenance costs and spare parts inventory.

Coordinate with production and quality teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes.

Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare usage.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in shopfloor maintenance and operations.

Proven experience in machine upkeep and breakdown handling.

Ability to manage cost control and spares inventory effectively.

Deep understanding of equipment uptime optimization techniques.

Hands-on experience with machinery used in printing & packaging industry.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Leadership and team management capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field

Relevant certifications in maintenance or reliability engineering are a plus
