Job Description

The Mainframe z/OS Administrator will be responsible for installation, upgrading, maintaining, and customizing the z/OS operating system and related IBM/OEM products. The role includes performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability in multi-CPU and Sysplex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot performance issues in a z/OS environment.
Install, upgrade, maintain, and customize z/OS, RACF, JES2, VTAM, TCP/IP, HCD, and WLM.
Apply planned maintenance and monitor product PTFs to ensure updates.
Work with REXX scripts, Assembler, JCL, and security implementations (Top Secret/ACF2/RACF).
Monitor and optimize performance in multi-CPU, multi-LPAR, and Sysplex environments.
Manage subsystems like DB2, ADABAS, IMS, and CICS.
Collaborate on projects involving hybrid cloud integration and modern mainframe tools like Zowe.
