As an Infrastructure Engineer, youll contribute to and manage the selection, creation and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets and architecture outcomes, along with developing products using modern engineering practices and tools.
Well look to you to collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps, detailing lifecycles of the technology from new products through to end of support and retirement. Youll also support engineered products and respond to user feedback, new feature requests and resolve production issues wanted by the Product Owner.
Additionally, youll:
Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development
Work within a team to design intuitive, self-service infrastructure products
Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions
Work with users to help use our products and gain feedback
Provide operational support for pattern or product related issues
Generate innovative ideas and drive the delivery of those through product features
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, youll have experience in software development ofCA7 scheduling knowledge and JCL skills on mainframe. Youll also have hands on experience with the CA7 monitoring commands and actions, REXX, python coding skills.
Well expect you to bring a good understanding of coding skills & GIT working experience and capabilities to build & manage tools that are built over JCL & REXX.
Furthermore, youll need:
Working knowledge of the development of CI or CD pipelines using modern tooling and system programming knowledge on CA7/ CA11 product
Experience of high level of TSO, JCL and strong scheduling & monitoring skills in CA7
Good knowledge of IBM/DB2 Utilities, Rexx, and other OA Tools
Experience of working with technology deployed to an on premise datacentre
An understanding of a DevOps mind-set, collaboration, automation and tooling
