Mainframe Knowledge:
Understanding of mainframe architecture and operations. z/OS Operating System:
Proficiency in z/OS, including its components and functionalities.
JCL (Job Control Language):
Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for job processing.
TSO/ISPF: Experience with Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility for interacting with the z/OS system.
RACF (Resource Access Control Facility): Knowledge of security and access control using RACF.
SDSF (System Display and Search Facility): Skills in monitoring and managing system resources.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and REXX.
Database Management: Experience with mainframe databases like DB2 and IMS.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving system issues.
Networking: Understanding of mainframe networking concepts and protocols.
System Utilities: Familiarity with various z/OS utilities and tools.
Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing system performance and resource utilization.
Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
