Role Summary:

Responsible for hands-on development, design, and coding of critical mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/1, and related technologies. Role involves working with databases, OLTP, and production support, preferably in banking or financial institution environments.

What You'll Do:

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and PL/1

Design and code critical applications for financial institutions

Utilize IBM Debugger, IBM File Manager/Omegamon, and Change man/RTC for development and support

Work with Datacom & DB2 databases and CICS OLTP

Collaborate with teams and communicate effectively

Provide production support as needed

What We're Looking For (Must-Haves):

69 years of hands-on development experience

Strong experience with COBOL and PL/1

Experience with Datacom & DB2 databases

Experience with CICS OLTP

Proficiency with IBM Debugger, IBM File Manager/Omegamon

Experience with MVS, Z/OS operating systems

Experience with Change man/RTC configuration management tools
