Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Assembler Developer to support an upcoming initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Mainframe development with a mandatory focus on Assembler, along with working knowledge of IMS and COBOL. The candidate should be capable of working independently in a remote environment with minimal onsite guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Mainframe Assembler.
- Analyze, modify, and support existing mainframe programs and systems.
- Work with IMS databases and transactions to support application functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Perform debugging, testing, and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
- Ensure code quality, maintain documentation, and follow development standards.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Development.
- Strong and mandatory expertise in Assembler programming.
- Good working knowledge of IMS (Information Management System).
- Experience with COBOL development and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
