As a Machine Learning Engineer within the newly created Data & Analytics team of BU FPS, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that support artificial intelligence (AI), advanced analytics, and business intelligence requirements within Hilti's customer-facing software and service solutions. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable ML pipelines, ensure model performance, and integrate ML solutions into production systems.
What You'll do As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven innovation areas. Your mission is to design, develop and maintain robust big data pipelines that enable advanced analytics, business intelligence and automation. interact directly with various stakeholders (business team, data scientists, analytics teams) to understand the data demand in line with the customer use case and in turn, design and develop scalable ETL packages from the business source systems, including development of ETL routines, to bring these data into the data platforms.
What You'll Bring
- Possess a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology, or equivalent; preference given to those with a Master's Degree.
- Have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in leveraging AWS and/or other cloud providers and analytics platforms, with a proven track record of delivering sophisticated solutions.
- Experience with MLOps tools and frameworks for model versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
- Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience integrating ML models into production systems and working with APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices for ML workflows and automated testing of model performance and stability.
- Experience with AWS cloud-services like Sagemaker, Glue, Athena, Lambda and similar
- Prior experience in virtual team settings.
- Possess a keen problem-solving acumen, self-driven, and proactive.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills in English, adept at engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrate adeptness in managing multiple tasks under stringent timelines.
