Adobe Digital Media's recent launch of GenAI-powered products for enterprises includes Firefly Services (APIs), Firefly Custom Models, Object Composites, Style Kits and outstanding AI features within flagship products like Adobe Photoshop, Express and Adobe GenStudio.

We are looking for an outstanding Applied ML Research Engineer to research, build, develop, and deliver high-profile products. These products span GenAI features and customization of GenAI Firefly models. They empower the next generation of enterprise creators and marketers by turning creative intent into creative success. As an Applied Research Engineer, you connect SOTA research, industry, and real-world applications. You are crafting the future of our core Intelligence Layer that powers GenAI features for enterprises globally.

You will become part of a highly collaborative engineering group collaborating closely with internal product teams and key partners. You should be capable of leading and resolving intricate AI challenges, possess strong empathy for customers, and produce measurable outcomes within a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

  • Research, train, and deploy SOTA ML models for enterprise use-cases
  • Leverage LLMs to analyze complex data and build advanced knowledge-extraction and insight-generation systems
  • Explore and iterate on emerging LLM techniques to advance the frontier of Context Engineering
  • Build and optimize agentic AI workflows that enable users to dynamically interact and refine outputs from ML systems
  • Develop scalable frameworks to evaluate the accuracy, robustness and usability of complex AI agents
  • Collaborate closely with product, UX, business development, and strategic partners to transform AI innovations into enterprise-grade production features
  • Collaborate with AI Research team to constantly explore and evaluate emerging AI technologies and transform research ideas into interactive prototypes

What you need to succeed

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML models in production
  • Demonstrated expertise in training, finetuning, optimizing LLMs / large-scale models
  • Proficiency in Python and deep knowledge of leading ML frameworks and libraries
  • Strong passion for innovation in artificial intelligence and a track record of delivering impactful, production-grade AI solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
