Job Purpose

Responsible for overall logistics regarding movement of products from Supply location to Retail Outlets and Bulk Consumers.

Job Responsibilities

Techno Commercial

  • Ensure the detailed Route Survey for new Retail Outlet/ Bulk Consumer Location from Supply location. Audit RTKM basis lat/long data to arrive at correct RTKM's.
  • Ensure correct freight payments to vendors after accounting for POD losses.

Vendor Management

  • Ensure all vendor agreements are in place and as per requirements.
  • Ensure hiring of GPS services and installation in all Tank Trucks and data collection and Analysis.
  • Ensure all trucks hired are calibrated and have update statutory licenses for Petroleum product movement.
  • Documentation pertaining to consortium arrangements / TT induction / Dehiring etc are as per norms and maintained.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in minimising transit loss due to Pilferage/Contamination due to truck partition/Accidents etc.
  • Processing On boarding and Termination of vendor codes in SAP until finalisation
  • To receive first information from Vendors on all incidents and ensuring reporting is done in time and followed up with closure by way of investigation report

Logistics Operations

  • Ensuring preparation of Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Yearly MIS reports are prepared and effectively circulated to all concerned.
  • Ensure timely placement of trucks at Supply location with close coordination with Territory Manager, Territory Supply and Distribution Manager and Logistics person.
  • Ensure tracking of Logistics KPI through effective data capture and Analysis to reach the desired levels approved by Management.
  • Ensure TREM Card issued to all trucks hired and updated from time to time.
  • Circulate results from data analyses to close gaps and optimise results handling all internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring periodic audit of RTKM's as per SOP through Officer Logistics
  • Auditing depot inspection reports and advising concerned departments on the findings for rectification
  • Conduct audit as per defined parameters and initiate corrective measures. Initiate rewards and recognitions programmes for the best performers
  • Ensure the staff at Supply location is properly trained to follow the SOP.
  • Ensure sealing/Abloy locks arrangement for all Supply locations.

Educational Qualifications

  • B. Com/M. Com/MBA (Logistics or SCM) with experience in Road Logistics for Liquids in Oil Industry.

Total Years of Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience

Skills Required

  • Product knowledge (Petrol/Diesel)
  • Road Logistics, Transporter Management, Interstate Movement experience.
  • Knowledge of Retail and Bulk Petroleum Business.
  • Negotiation skills and strong communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • SAP
