Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management & Engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers within assigned categories.
  • Organise and lead strategic supplier events such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings.
  • Conduct competitive sourcing events including RFx, 3‑bid‑and‑buy processes, and e‑auctions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and value‑adds to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Contracting & Compliance
  • Prepare Award Recommendation (AR) files for contract creation and approval.
  • Review, draft, and finalise contracts in collaboration with legal and risk teams.
  • Ensure contracts meet compliance, quality, and business requirements.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to internal sourcing policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide sourcing guidance.
  • Coordinate sourcing timelines and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Support category managers and sourcing leads with data analysis, supplier evaluations, and contract preparations.
  • Tools & Reporting
  • Utilise procurement platforms such as Ariba, Salesforce, Copilot, Workday, and SAP to manage sourcing transactions and workflows.
  • Maintain procurement documentation including quotes, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Track sourcing KPIs and savings metrics; prepare reports for leadership review.
  • Value Creation & Risk Mitigation
  • Analyse spend data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement sourcing strategies that mitigate risk.
  • Ensure pricing, delivery, and quality align with business expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier performance.

Education:

  • Required education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Over 5‑7 years of experience in sourcing, including strategic sourcing across multiple categories.
  • Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities from business requirement intake to supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and PO issuance.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including MRO Spares & Services and Facilities.
  • Partner with IBM's Global Procurement Team and regional counterparts to align and drive category strategies.
