Role Summary

A Logistics Head overseeing warehouse and transport directs the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring efficient inventory storage, processing, and transportation to customers. Key responsibilities include optimizing warehouse space, managing carrier relationships, cutting logistics costs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading teams to meet safety and delivery KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse Management:

Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. Set up warehouse layout, ensure efficient space utilization, and manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts.

• Transportation & Logistics:

Coordinate the entire order cycle, including planning transport routes, negotiating with carriers/vendors, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

• Operational Optimization:

Develop and implement logistics strategies, Analyze supply chain data, and initiate process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

• Compliance & Safety:

Maintain high standards of health and safety (OHS) in the warehouse, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.

• Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and motivate warehouse and transport personnel.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role.
• Expertise in warehouse management software (WMS) and transport management systems (TMS).
• Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve unforeseen issues quickly

Educational Qualification

B.Tech / MBA from Tier 1 or 2 colleges like NITs, IIMs, NITIE, SP Jain, Wellingkar Institute.

Experience

4-5years experience in Warehouse & Transportation role.
