Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will manage and coordinate import and export logistics operations to ensure smooth shipment execution, container availability, accurate documentation, and timely vessel bookings. The role involves close coordination with internal departments and external logistics partners to ensure compliance with shipping schedules, Incoterms, and contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
Export Logistics Coordination
• Manage and arrange empty containers for company yards according to shipment schedules.
• Coordinate container pull-out operations including request processing, truck assignment, yard exit, and port gate-in.
• Allocate containers for contracted materials and coordinate loading operations with yard teams.
• Book shipments on the earliest available vessel and ensure compliance with vessel cut-off and gate-in deadlines.
• Provide shipment and booking details to customers for confirmation including vessel schedule, ETD, and container details.
• Coordinate Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions and ensure issuance of SWB or OBL as per contract terms.
• Support document readiness for CAD, DP, or L/C transactions in coordination with documentation and finance teams.
• Provide priority coordination for key international customers and special shipment requirements.
• Follow up ocean freight invoices with finance teams to prevent operational delays.
• Maintain daily logistics tracking reports and monitor operational exceptions.
Import Logistics Coordination
• Coordinate inbound shipment schedules with suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Monitor shipment ETA, vessel schedule changes, and arrival notices.
• Ensure availability and accuracy of import documentation including invoices, packing lists, and certificates.
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and follow up on inspections and approvals.
• Arrange inland transportation from port to company yards and monitor unloading and container return processes.
• Track free time, storage, and demurrage exposure and escalate delays when necessary.
• Coordinate with finance teams regarding freight charges, clearance costs, and local expenses.
• Maintain import shipment tracking and report operational issues or documentation discrepancies.

Technical Competencies, Software knowledge and other requirements:
• Good understanding of international shipping procedures and freight coordination
• Knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and customs clearance procedures
• Familiarity with export/import shipping documentation and L/C basics
• Experience using logistics or transportation management systems (TMS)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines
• Good English communication skills required
• Arabic language knowledge required
