Job Description

Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, specifically within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
Advise senior management on legal risks and strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Handle litigation matters and liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.
Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor changes in regulations and ensure timely updates to company policies.
Oversee internal investigations and ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and compliance concerns.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal and Compliance should have:

A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
Proven expertise in handling legal and compliance matters within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
Experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical practices.
