This role is a key member of Check Point Software Technologies Legal Team, supporting the company's APAC operations. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and for working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and HR. The role requires a proactive, business-oriented lawyer with strong judgment and the ability to identify, assess, and manage legal risks in a fast-paced, international environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the legal framework supporting a global leader in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the contracting cycle relating to sales, procurement, and other commercial agreements.
- Negotiate and manage both standard form agreements and complex, customer-specific contracts, including direct negotiations with distributors, partners, and vendors.
- Collaborate with local business leaders and provide practical legal advice on risks and issues across the Company's operations, including sales, purchasing, HR, product matters, corporate matters, and dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- Qualified and licensed lawyer with at least 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong familiarity with standard contract terms and conditions for the sale of products and software.
- This is a remote-based role, with no location constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proven professional working experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated strength in contract drafting, development, and negotiation.
- Prior experience advising technology companies is an advantage.
- Prior exposure to multiple jurisdictions in APAC, including ANZ, Greater China, South-East Asia, Japan, and Korea, is a strong plus.
