Job Description

Job Title: Legal Auditor

Location: 100% Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Timing: 06:00 AM to 03:00 PM EST

Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday

Cases -

  • Weekly and monthly audit of the cases of the Firm and the caseworkers.
  • Keeping track of cases that are submitted to the U.S. team for final review and ensuring that the cases are mailed out.
  • Reviewing the incoming mail to ensure that the work is assigned in any action that needs to be taken.
  • Reviewing the outgoing mail to ensure that the files are correctly uploaded.
  • Daily audit of the cases started in the office and ensure that the summary and strategy are updated, and the retainer agreement is uploaded.
  • Coordinating between the U.S. and India team regarding the new cases signed up by the Firm and ensuring that the work gets done timely.
  • Daily audit of the admin dashboard and remind the caseworkers about their deadlines.
  • Tracking the progress of each team member by auditing their tasks and tickets and providing feedback on their performance.
  • Reassigning cases in case any team members leave the office.
  • Work on urgent cases.
  • Returning calls for cases where no caseworkers are assigned.
  • Requesting clients of successful cases for reviews.

Events Calendar -

  • Daily audit of all the upcoming events mentioned in the calendar.
  • Checking Alien numbers of all the cases with the immigration hotline number / EOIR Website and informing the Managing attorneys.
  • Keeping track of the deportation cases that are submitted to the U.S. team for final review and ensuring that the cases are mailed out before the respective due date.
  • Creating and auditing events on MyLS and Google Calendar to ensure that the deadlines are not missed.
  • Reminding the attorneys about the court hearings and ensuring that the case notes after attending the hearings.

Court Emails -

  • Daily audit of emails received from the court in respect of the firm's cases.
  • Informing the Attorneys and Caseworkers of the Orders and Documents received from the Opponents and Court.
  • Creating events to ensure that the deadlines are not missed.
  • Assignment of tasks, if necessary
  • Following up with Attorneys and support staff to ensure Court orders are adhered to.
