Job Description

We are seeking experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies to support a large-scale content development project aligned with the U.S. K-12 curriculum (Grades 312).

The selected SMEs will work on developing standards-aligned instructional materials, lesson content, and assessments designed to support engaging and effective learning experiences for students.

This is a remote, contract-based opportunity for educators, curriculum developers, and subject experts with strong knowledge of the U.S. education system and academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality instructional content aligned with U.S. curriculum standards.
  • Create lesson plans, reading passages, activities, and assessments for Grades 312.
  • Design ELA content focusing on reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and critical analysis.
  • Develop Social Studies content, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and academic rigor in all developed materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including instructional designers and content reviewers.
  • Revise and improve content based on feedback and quality review.
  • Utilize digital authoring tools and AI tools where required.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in English Language Arts or Social Studies
  • Experience with U.S. K-12 curriculum standards
  • Curriculum development or content creation experience
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to create engaging learning content for different grade levels
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms or educational technology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, History, Political Science, Geography, or related field
  • Experience teaching or developing curriculum for Grades 312
  • Prior experience in content development, curriculum design, or instructional writing is preferred
