Lead Technical Consultant - Core Banking - Java Microservices

This role is in the Banking Consulting team and involves applying technology knowledge and skills to work with a new generation of Oracle Banking products, specifically Oracle FLEXCUBE / Core banking products, built on next-generation architecture.

• This is an Intermediate Consultant position (IC3) with an experience range of 9 to 15 years.
• Responsibilities span Development, Implementation, and Managed Service activity streams such as Migration, Testing support, and coordination with various Oracle and client teams.
• The consultant will be a Technical Lead/Participant in end-to-end activities covering design of customizations, coding, testing, migrations, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or participate as Technical Lead in Development, Implementation, or Managed Service activity streams such as Migration, Testing support, and coordination with other Oracle and client teams.
• Assist with analysis, design, and implementation of solutions for various business requirements.
• Develop programs as per specifications/requirements given by Oracle / Client within the planned schedule, ensuring quality code delivery.
• Use defined standards/tools/processes and document all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes.
• Adhere to defined Change Control Process and align with audit / compliance requirements.
• Perform proper handover / knowledge transfer at the end of each assignment.
• Perform Issue Tracking on Application and follow-up for resolution of same with collaborators.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience of 9 to 15 years in end-to-end Development and/or Implementation and/or Support activities for Oracle FLEXCUBE / Core banking products.
• Expertise in areas such as design of customizations, Coding and Unit testing, completing Test cycle rounds including End of Days, migrations, and Integrations.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices related technologies, Spring Boot, Rest API, JavaScript, XML.
• Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Database (18c or 12c) is a plus.
• Solid grasp of Release management and Source control tools.
• Exposure to software deployment and fixing on Application Server software especially Oracle Weblogic.
• Exposure to analysis of Oracle Database AWR/ADDM reports and fixing of database performance issues.
• Awareness of banking terminologies and concepts and exposure to Banking Domain.
• Exposure to software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools.
• Should hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree.
