Lead Structural Engineer

One of Our Client looking for a hands-on Structural Engineer with strong academic foundations and practical design experience to work on high-rise building systems and next-generation structural workflows.

This role is ideal for engineers who combine core structural design expertise with analytical thinking, and are interested in evolving towards computational and parametric design approaches.

You will be working on real-world building systems, contributing to structural design, optimization, and integration across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Structural Design & Analysis

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures for residential and commercial buildings

• Develop structural systems ensuring safety, efficiency, and constructability

• Prepare and validate design calculations, load analysis, and member sizing

• Contribute to connection design and structural detailing coordination

2. Project Execution & Ownership

• Take ownership of design deliverables across project stages (concept → detailed design)

• Work on high-rise (G+10+) building projects

• Collaborate with Architectural, MEP, and BIM teams for integrated design

• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions

3. Optimization & Engineering Thinking

• Identify opportunities for material optimization and cost efficiency

• Apply engineering judgment to improve structural performance and design logic

• Support development of efficient structural systems for scalable building solutions

4. Exposure to Advanced Workflows (Trainable)

• Contribute to parametric / rule-based design workflows

• Work with tools like Excel, Dynamo, Grasshopper, or Python (as applicable)

• Support automation of repetitive structural calculations and processes

Mandatory Requirements

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering

• Graduate / Postgraduate from IIT / NIT / IISc / BITS Pilani (mandatory)

• 7+ years of experience in structural design

• Strong hands-on experience with:

• ETABS (mandatory)

• Structural analysis and calculations

• Experience in building projects (residential/commercial)

• Strong understanding of:

• Load calculations

• Structural systems

• Design fundamentals

Flexible / Trainable Areas

• US building codes (AISC, ASCE 7, IBC)

• Parametric / computational design tools

• BIM tools (Revit, Tekla)

Preferred Experience

• Steel structural design

• High-rise building experience (G+10 or above)

• Exposure to:

• STAAD / SAP / SAFE

• Revit / Tekla / BIM environments

• Experience in design optimization or automation workflows

• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

Not Suitable For

• BIM-only or coordination-focused roles

• Site execution profiles without design experience

• Infra / metro / oil & gas backgrounds

• Candidates without hands-on structural design exposure
